 Description: Local ordinances and state or regional laws have a profound impact on cats, and on the people caring for them. Join Professor of Law, Fran Ortiz from the South Texas College of Law, Texas Humane Legislation Network Director and Animal Welfare Journalist Meera Nandlal, Librarian and cat advocate Regina Vitolo, and LSC-CyFair Professor of Government Miranda Ashworth for a panel discussion on recently proposed legislation targeting TNR (Trap-Neuter/Spay-Return) advocates and community cat caretakers. This event is in person in the Lone Star College-CyFair Center for the Arts building, room ART 102 and will be streamed online at cflib.info/catlaw.
