| Description: | African and Black communities have a long tradition of communicating through movement. This interactive fireside chat will be held with two people well versed in African & Black cultural dance expression from the ways it has been used through the years to express emotions, document stories, and articulate experiences. Following the conversation, there will be an opportunity for Q&A as well as a demonstration of an African diaspora dance such as Fraternity/Sorority Stepping, Tribal Dance, and the Houston 2-step. |
